transparency does not restore when not hovering anymore

Postby eyebex » Wed Jul 28, 2004 10:37 pm

i enabled to alter a windows transparency when hovering over the minimize button. when i leave the minimize-button with the mouse cursor crossing the *bottom* edge, transparency of the window is not restored to opaque. leaving the button over any other of the three button edges works, though.

I can't seem to be able to reproduce this bug.
Is this the case with all windows?
If not, which window causes this bug?

it happens with every window. i've created a small avi to illustrate the bug:

I can reproduce the effect eyebex is seeing only with Opera.

With other applications (IE, Outlook, SE Settings) the windows will completely disappear when the mouse leaves the minimise button.

Some applications work find such as Calc and SciTE

All applications remain transparent if you quickly pass the mouse over the minimise button, regardless of which side of the button it exits from (easiest to reproduce when exiting from the top side).

Ok, I seem to be able to reproduce this bug on Windows 2000.

eyebex: Are you running Windows 2000?

DrWorm: What Windows are you running?

I'm running Win XP.

I just tested on my home PC and windows aren't disappearing like on my work PC. I don't use this feature anyway so I'm none too fussed :)
