WPC can't find pictures with unicode chars in pathname

Postby ralmond » Tue Aug 14, 2012 2:57 am

If either the picture itself has non-ascii unicode characters in its filename, or the directory holding the folder has non-ascii unicode in the filename, WPC will not import them. Renaming the file/folder to use a pure ascii name remove the problem. I'm running under Windows 7, and the file names are legal.

I have a large collection of files downloaded from Asian sources and it would be a pain to rename them all. Not quite sure if this is a bug or an RFE.

Correct, the current version of WPC does not support Unicode.
I'm glad to say that I fully converted WPC to Unicode, so the next version will support it.
