On mouse gestures

Postby kossak » Wed Jul 14, 2004 1:18 am

First off, let me say mouse gestures are great, and one of the best features in this program (apart from the great alt-tab replacement).

But I would like them to work as with other programs such as Opera, where if the mouse gesture is not recognized or is not bound to any task, it just passes the movement to the underlying application.

Actually, why not add a checkbox that allows mouse gestures to be passed to the underlying application even if they are recognized? this way I can use the middle button to click on a web page and scroll it in IE, and also use that button for mouse gestures.

My suggestion is to look at opera's mouse gestures and imitate that behaviour in regards to passing the events down the pipe.

Keep up the excelent work, something tells me this program will become a must have for any Windows user in the future.

I'm glad you like it :D

About your middle mouse button: wouldn't that be rather difficult to use? I mean if SE would pass mouse movements directly to the underlying application, and you would use the middle mouse button to make a mouse gesture, if you start making your mouse gesture in IE, IE would scroll rather irregular.

I'll take a look at Opera and see how they do it.
